Changing Your cPanel Password

In this tutorial, we will walk you through changing your cPanel password.

Your cPanel account contains all of your website and email data and configurations so it’s very important to keep it as secure as possible. One of the ways you can go about this is by regularly changing your cPanel account password.

To change your cPanel password, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
    Follow this guide to learn how to access your cPanel account.

  2. Select the Profile Menu (top-right), then choose “Password & Security”.
    You can also access “Password & Security” under the Preferences section.

    Tip: Use the quick search bar at the top of your cPanel account for speedy navigation.

  3. Enter your old password and your new password, then select “Change your password now!”

    Tip: Aim for a password strength of 80 or more and make sure to keep it in a safe place.
