If you encounter the annoying image upload error in WordPress there are several possible solutions you can take to resolve it.
These solutions include changing your PHP version, changing the PHP limits and changing the folder permissions of your WordPress’s “uploads” directory.

  • File Permissions: To change the folder permissions of your WordPress “uploads” folder, navigate to your WordPress installation directory in File Manager > open the “wp-content” directory which contains the “uploads” directory.
    Set the permissions of the “uploads” directory to 755.
